The Landings Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project, Stockton, Alabama

The Project Included:

  • An automated waste activated sludge pumping system
  • An electric three-way valve tied to a timer and the existing air lift pumps
  • A 5,000 gallon sludge holding tank
  • A manual supernatant decanting system for sludge thickening in the new tank
  • Modifications to the existing blowers and air distribution system
  • An electronic effluent flow meter and data logger
  • A new screening device
  • An automatic influent and effluent sampling system
  • An elevated low pressure collection system flushing pump station
  • An updated O&M Manual

Constantine Engineering provided consulting engineering , design, and services during construction for the Landings Wastewater Treatment Facility Project. The Landings is a popular fishing resort on the Tensaw River, north of Mobile, Alabama. The resort owners operate a 15,000 gallon per day packaged activated sludge wastewater treatment facility. The facility discharges to the Tensaw River, an "Alabama Outstanding Water."
