Washington, D.C.—The Constantine Group (TCG) was proud to be represented by one of their very own Senior Project Managers—Jeff Duplantis—at the ASCE Legislative Fly-In Program in Washington, D.C. Every spring, ASCE holds this intensive two-day program to provide participants with an inside look at the public policy process. Taking place on March 13th and 14th, over 210 ASCE members visited over 270 Congressional offices to advocate for aviation, water, and water resources infrastructure.
Duplantis met with Legislatures from Georgia to discuss ASCE’s support of: • White House Infrastructure Plan • Water Resources Development Act of 2018 (WRDA) • Securing Required Funding for Water Infrastructure Now (SRF WIN) Act
The Program also included briefing sessions on key legislation, training on lobbying/influencing elected leaders, networking with ASCE peers from across the country, tips on maintaining relationships with elected officials, and even a Younger Member Program to orient and build skills for congressional visits. Duplantis loves attending these annual meetings on The Hill and truly looks forward to next year’s Fly-In Program.
