Okaloosa County Water and Sewer,Florida, awarded the 5MGD Expansion of the Arbennie Pritchett

On December 2, 2015, Okaloosa County Water and Sewer, Florida, awarded the 5 MGD expansion of the Arbennie Pritchett Water Reclamation Facility Design/Build project to CDM Smith, Inc. with Constantine Engineering as the Program Manager and Owner/s Representative. The upgrade, managed by Constantine Engineering, will expand the WRF from 10 MGD to 15 MGD.

From 2006 to 2010, Constantine served as Program Manager for the design and construction of the Arbennie Pritchett Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) Program. Constantine coordinated the engineering design, environmental permitting, materials procurement, construction, and start-up of the many components of this Program to build a new 10 MGD advanced water reclamation facility. This was the largest capital improvement project in Okaloosa County history. The project was a national success and won the 2011 Water/Wastewater National Merit Award from the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA).

Constantine has worked in partnership with OCWS to establish regional wastewater treatment at the Arbennie Pritchett WRF and to develop and negotiate several contracts with surrounding water and sewer utilities, including the City of Fort Walton Beach and Eglin Air Force Base. The expanded facility will allow OCWS to meet the needs of this fast-growing region.
