Constantine Engineering is seeking qualified persons for the position of Subsurface Utility Field Technician for its Alabama, Florida and Georgia service areas. Responsible for locating, inspecting, smoke testing and documentation of subsurface utility conditions, using a Global Positioning System (GPS), Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), smoke testing equipment, and by physical/visual means, and if necessary manual tools, i.e., shovels, and probes. Must be able to perform field investigation duties under adverse traffic and field conditions and in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements. Frequent travel, including overnight stays, is required. Job position may be based in either the Mobile, Alabama or Lawrenceville, Georgia office when not traveling. Ability to work with others and good written and verbal communication skills are required. High school diploma required. Technical school training in CADD or GIS, ability to read various engineering drawings and specifications, proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products, are all a plus. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous benefit package.
